This means that the knees of these warm pants are optimally protected without restricting freedom of movement. Thanks to the 4-way stretch, the fabric remains flexible and adapts to every movement. The knee reinforcements are also water-repellent, so a fall on a wet playground is no problem – simply wipe them down and they're clean as new. In our experience, the knee pads will withstand even the wildest adventures – holes are a thing of the past.

Washing polyester, whether new or recycled, releases microplastic particles that end up in our oceans—one of the main causes of microplastic pollution. And compared to natural materials like organic cotton, polyester isn't as breathable or skin-friendly. – For slim children, choose the smaller size.

How long do the trousers last?
Our trousers are designed to be worn for at least a year – and many parents tell us theirs last much longer. Of course, it depends a little on how active your child is and whether the trousers are worn mostly indoors or out.
Our tip: Choose the right size so the knee area stays well covered, and rotate them with other favourites – that way they’ll last even longer.
Fabric note: Fleece can shrink more than other fabrics. To keep the original fit, avoid tumble drying.

Fleece aus Baumwolle - nicht aus Polyester?
Richtig. Unser Fleece besteht zu 100 % aus Bio-Baumwolle und ist innen wie außen flauschig.
Baumwolle nimmt Feuchtigkeit auf und fühlt sich auch beim Wechsel zwischen
Toben und Sitzen angenehm an - manche Polyester-Fleecestoffe fühlen sich dabei
schnell feucht oder klebrig an. Und: keine Mikroplastikfasern aus dem
Hauptstoff. Der Stoff ist GOTS-zertifiziert (Kiwa BCS 26126).
Fleecehose oder Thermohose - welche ist die richtige?
Für Kinder, denen ohnehin schnell warm wird, ist die Thermohose aus angerautem Sweatstoff meist die vielseitigere Wahl: warm genug für draußen, angenehm drinnen und schlanker unter einer Matsch- oder Regenhose.
Die Fleecehose ist unsere wärmste und kuscheligste Variante – ideal für Kinder, die schnell frieren oder es besonders weich und mollig mögen. Sie ist etwas voluminöser und deshalb eher für trockene, kalte Tage oder unter eine weiter geschnittene, ungefütterte Regenhose gedacht.
Darf eine Fleecehose in den Sandkasten?
Natürlich. Auf der flauschigen Oberfläche bleibt trockener Sand etwas leichter hängen als auf glattem Sweatstoff – meist reicht Ausschütteln oder Abbürsten. Für nassen Sand und Matsch empfehlen wir eine ungefütterte Regen- oder Matschhose darüber.
Bleiben die Knöchel beim Spielen warm?
Die langen Beinbündchen kannst du bei Bedarf über den Schuh ziehen. So kommt weniger kalte Luft oder Schnee zwischen Hose und Schuh. Wenn dein Kind wächst, werden die Bündchen einfach wieder normal getragen.

Die perfekte Winterhose, warm, sehr bequem und flexibel. Und man kann sie auch in die Winterschuhe stecken. Bei anderen Hosen bleibt oft ein kalter Spalt zwischen Hose und Schuhen.
