Good to know
Which children's leggings are really durable?
Children's leggings usually wear out in the same place: at the knee. Truly robust models need more than a second layer of standard legging fabric there. Babbily children's leggings for girls and boys therefore feature abrasion-resistant, elastic knee patches. Many models can also be adjusted at the waistband and in length - so they can keep up with everyday life in kindergarten, at school, and on the playground for longer.
How do you recognize durable children's leggings?
Abrasion-resistant, elastic knee patches: The knee fabric of our robust models withstands 100,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test while remaining flexible.
Grow-with-me fit: Many models feature an adjustable waistband and foldable hems so that they fit through several growth stages.
Comfortable cut: A soft waistband and plenty of room in the seat and crotch give children freedom of movement when kneeling, climbing, and sitting cross-legged.
Organic cotton on the legs: All cotton fabrics we use are GOTS-certified.
The abrasion-resistant functional fabric is located on the outside of the knee and does not touch the skin directly.
What does the size “80+” mean?
The plus sign stands for the grow-with-me fit. The model starts at a height of 80 cm and can be adjusted via the waistband and hem. Therefore, please choose your child's current height rather than buying a size larger as a precaution. Depending on the model, you can find Babbily leggings in sizes 80 to 152.
Are there durable leggings for boys?
Yes. Many Babbily models are intentionally designed to be simple or to have a denim look, and they fit more like a comfortable, slim-fitting pull-on pant than classic skin-tight leggings. This combines freedom of movement with durable knees and makes them easy for children to put on themselves.
How do Babbily children's leggings fit?
Babbily leggings are intentionally not designed to be skin-tight. The "grow-with-me" cut provides a bit of extra room initially and fits closer to the body as the child grows into them. For very slender children, the leg may therefore appear looser at first.
