Our Babbily leggings are designed to last between 6 months and 2 years (or longer if passed down), depending on how often your child wears them and how active they are.
On average they can be worn for a year. Provided the size is correct and the knee patches fully cover the knees.
This is significantly longer than traditional trousers, which often wear out at the knees after a few months or even weeks.
What can you expect?
Our aim is to combine comfort with durability. We use high quality materials that are child-friendly and suitable for active use – soft organic cotton for comfort and durable fabrics from sports and motorsport for added strength.
Durable knee reinforcement:
The knee reinforcement can withstand 100,000 rub cycles on the Martindale scale. This means the fabric is industrially tough and can withstand falls and extended play on the ground.
Comfortable and skin friendly:
Our leggings are not designed to be ‘tough work trousers’ (which are often made from stiff fabrics), but comfortable and durable everyday wear. The main fabric, organic cotton jersey, is particularly comfortable, skin-friendly and breathable – ideal for daily use in school and nursery.
Durability:
The organic cotton jersey is durable, but may show signs of wear at the seams after very long use. In comparison, conventional leggings tend to tear at the knees much earlier.

We recommend wash at 30-40°C and tumble dry at a low temperature. Please note that the leggings may shrink slightly in the tumble dryer.

Size 80+: Fits from height 80 to size 92 (from 8 months to 2 years)
Size 92+: Fits from height 92 to 110 (from 2 to 3.5 years)
Size 104+: Fits from height 104 to size 116 (from 3-3.5 years to 6-7 years)
Size 116+: Fits from height 116 to size 128 (from 6 to 8 years)
Size 128+: Fits from body size 128 to size 140 (from 8 to 10 years)
Size 140+: Fits from height 140 to size 152 (from 10 to 12 years)
The leggings fit loosely to begin with, but will fit tighter against the skin as the child grows.
For children with intermediate sizes, a smaller size should be selected, it will still offer enough room for growth. This especially applies to slim children. Trust us!
